Passion. Experience. Diligence.
Founder and Principal Kia Freeman gained skills and expertise working at some of the most prestigious intellectual property (IP) law firms in the country, including Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett, and Dunner, LLP. Kia’s unusual practice encompasses IP development, negotiation of IP-related business agreements, and dispute resolution. Despite her unusually broad practice, Kia dives deep into all areas.
Kia loves to talk with clients about things they care about, earning their trust, learning their concerns, and gaining a better understanding of their business along the way. As a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Kia is not intimidated by working with numbers, with new technology, or with technologies that combine multiple fields of study.
Kia volunteers with the Boston Intellectual Property Law Association as the Co-Chair of the Amicus Committee. Kia also volunteers with the Alan D. Lourie Boston Intellectual Property Inn of Court as the Treasurer. Kia has written friend of the court briefs for the US Supreme Court and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
